Amazon has signed another major lease in New York City, claiming 211,000 square feet in Brooklyn’s East New York neighborhood for a delivery station scheduled to open in the second half of 2021, Crains New York Business reported.
The station is located at 12555 Flatlands Ave. known as the Brooklyn Logistics Center and owned by Wildflower Ltd. The signing follows the e-commerce giant closing a deal on 2300 Linden Blvd., also in East New York. At the beginning of autumn Amazon rented a further 975,000 square meters in the Matrix Global Logistics Park on Staten Island.
“We’re excited to continue investing in New York State with a new delivery station that will enable efficient delivery for customers and create jobs for talented employees,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement.
