BEMUS POINT – A man from Bemus Point who police said had aimed a shotgun at two National Grid employees was charged.
New York State Troopers and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Bemus Point area Friday for a report of a disorderly person who was allegedly in possession of a firearm. An investigation found that Edmond Shults III, 42, had approached a National Grid truck parked on the street “Pointed a shotgun at the two employees who were inside” The New York State Police said in a press release.
Shults was processed in the State Police barracks in Jamestown and released with tickets to two cases of second degree threat. He is later due to appear before Ellery Town Court.
¯ FALCONER – Samara Wells, 38, of Jamestown, was accused of driving drunk. Wells was stopped and taken into custody on Interstate 86 in Falconer on Friday for a traffic violation after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests. Wells was transported to a police barracks and later provided a breath sample of 0.09%. Wells is later due to appear at Ellicott Town Court.
¯ MAYVILLE – Paul Russo, 45, of Jamestown, has been charged with second degree criminal impersonation, obstruction of second degree government administration, and exacerbated second degree unlicensed surgery. Russo was stopped on Route 430 in Mayville on Saturday and was later taken into custody after initially identifying himself as a different person. A review also revealed that Russo’s license had been suspended. He was edited and received tickets to appear later in Chautauqua Municipal Court.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Patrick J. Dhondt, 45, of Jamestown, has been charged with the seventh degree of criminal possession of a controlled substance. The officers observed Dhondt at 12:41 p.m. on Tuesday in the area of 525 Foote Ave. A check revealed that he had an arrest warrant from the Ellicott Police Department. Dhondt was taken into custody without incident and was reportedly found in possession of a lot of fentanyl / methamphetamine. He was taken to Jamestown City Jail and later released with an entrance ticket.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ BROCTON – Tyler T. Dalton, 21, of Brocton, was taken into custody after MPs searched an apartment building on Smith Street in Brocton at 10:20 am on Wednesday. Dalton had an active warrant for third-degree criminal calamity. He was taken to Chautauqua County Jail and is later due to appear before Portland City Court.
¯ STOCKTON – Justin L. Horton, 35, of Stockton, has been detained for second degree assault and obstruction of second degree government administration. MPs carried out a warrant check at 1:46 p.m. on Wednesday at a residence on Mill Street in Stockton. Horton was taken to Chautauqua County Jail and is due to later answer the charges.
